We are so thankful for the amazing coverage We Are Sikhs has received in Fresno, and for the opportunity to share our Sikh values with our neighbors across the San Joaquin Valley and central California!
Check out the recent coverage we received from ABC30 Action News, KSEE24, and The Fresno Bee below:
ABC30 Action News
ABC30 attended our press conference and interviewed several members of the Sikh community. Amritpal Singh, a representative of We Are Sikhs Fresno, said, "The turban is a symbol of readiness and equality – to protect anyone in the world who comes to him for help.” Watch the full video here.
KSEE24
After the press conference, KSEE interviewed Jaswant and Amripal Singh about the importance of our campaign. Jaswant sums up our values with one simple sentence: “When you see a Sikh with a turban, think of three C's: caring, commitment, and courage. We care for our communities, we have commitment to our faith, and we have courage to protect others." The interview highlights our goals of educating our neighbors and sharing our Sikh values. The Fresno Bee
Finally, We Are Sikhs Fresno was featured in The Fresno Bee: “I ask that you get to know your Sikh neighbors,” said Sharnjit Singh Purewal, general secretary of the Sikh Council of Central California. “You may find that you’re more alike than different.” Read the full article here.
The support we’ve received in Fresno is overwhelming. We are honored to serve this amazing community!
